TODAY JULY 6 2025

I’m interrupting my current uploading of my past to comment on the now.

Today at church we sang The Star Spangled Banner as our opening hymn. We all stood and as we sang it brought tears to my eyes. I’m so proud to live in this country. I know that people are torn apart during this time in our country and it’s hard to see.

A sweet lady got up to speak and she bore testimony of loving this country. She isn’t from here and in her broken English her words brought tears to my eyes. She has so much pride in America. It made me proud too. We as a country are not perfect. Our leadership isn’t perfect but I believe that God is in control. He is watching over us.

I know that Jesus is the Christ and I know that America is the best free country we could be living in. It makes me sad to see friends and family torn apart over different views. Both sides are convinced the other is wrong. Some people don’t bother researching but stand up on a pedestal to shame others. It’s sad. We need to all take a collective break and just chill.

Maybe i am just high strung because I’ve been unemployed for 11 weeks with no end in sight but the state of the world is really exhausting. 

At the end of the day the best that I can do is have Faith that God has a plan for me and for our country and I just need to keep trying. I wish we could all do that together.
