And My Total Worth Comes to a $15 McDonald’s Gift Card - May 25 2012

Though I have lost count of all the times Willow and I decided to part ways, the one I will remember most is when he mentioned buying each other going-away presents. It was tapering off, and we hadn’t seen each other in a couple of weeks, but we were still talking over texts. One night at the store, I saw a movie he had been wanting to buy. Because I am utterly sad and obviously weak in this department, I decided to get it for him.

When I told him what I had done, he was so excited and said, “Well, let’s make it a going-away present then!” He told me he wanted to get me a present too. All the while I’m thinking and later stated: “Going-away present for what?” For leaving each other? Way to go! Your relationship sucked and you couldn’t make it work!

Here’s a gift to reward you. The next day, he texted to let me know what his gift was to me: a $15 GIFT CARD TO McDonald’s!

I couldn’t help but laugh. THAT is the gift you chose to send me off with? After the sleepless nights, all the rejection, all the funny jokes I told to make you laugh? I mean, I love McDonald’s hamburgers with all my heart—but realllllyyyyyy???????

Haha, needless to say, after a few things went down, the movie was returned to the store, and I never saw that gift card. That boy has made me make the stupidest choices, but I will tell you now: for the rest of my life, if I ever receive a McDonald’s gift card, it will bring a smile to my face.

Just to know my worth makes me feel so good inside…

(Wow-This entire post is so annoying. What was wrong with us?? Toxic and more toxic. I will continue to stand by the fact that Willow was always very nice. I just couldn’t handle the inconsistency very well)
